Kaleb Montgomery 4th With KoT in Hanford!

By: Fast Time Media

9/21/23… Hanford, California: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Night, Kaleb Montgomery was in action at Kings Speedway & Placerville Speedway. Thursday saw him battle against the Kings of Thunder 360’s, while Friday & Saturday saw him battle the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.

Kaleb began the weekend by timing in 6th quickest overall in time trials in the 360. That would put him on the pole of his heat race where he would lead wire to wire & make the dash. He made the dash, where he started outside of the front row in 2nd & would finish in the 3rd spot.

Going into the feature, Kaleb would be in a good starting spot as he started 3rd. The feature event was a long one as the cautions seemed to keep coming. Eventually, they would get all 25 laps in & Kaleb would finish 4th.

“Thursday at Hanford with the 360 was pretty good. Didn’t qualify too good and went 6th quick. Then we won the heat putting us in the dash. From there we started 3rd and finished 4th in the feature.”

Going into Friday, they’d swap the motor to the 410 & battle the World of Outlaws. Kaleb would start the night out with a solid qualifying run. He would end up timing in 11th quickest out of 38 410’s. In the heat race, he started 3rd but would fall back to the 5th spot & finish there.

That would be enough to put Kaleb into the main event of the Tom Tarlton Classic. He would start out in the 19th spot. As the race went on, the leaders would come around & lap Kaleb. Once he went a lap down, he pulled off & brought his night to an end.

“With the outlaws we qualified better than we did in the past. Got a bad start in the heat and fell back to 5th but still made the main. Ended up pulling off in the main once I got lapped.”

Placerville would be a disappointing night for Kaleb & his team. It got off to a rough start as he timed in 15th quick out of 19 cars in his group. That put him deep in his heat race where he went from 8th to 7th.

Kaleb would go to the Last Chance Showdown where he would start in the 5th spot. He would fall back a few spots as he tried to fight for a transfer spot. Unfortunately, on lap nine Kaleb would catch the curb wrong & get upside down, bringing his night to an early end.

“In placerville I qualified terrible, then started 8th in the heat and finished m 7th. In the B-main we started 5th and fell backwards a couple of spots before catching the curb wrong and flipping, ending our night.”

Despite a tough ending to his weekend, Kaleb would have a fast car all weekend. He would finish 4th in the 360 on Thursday. Then he would qualify well & make the show on Friday before an unfortunate ending on Saturday.

Kaleb would like to thank his sponsors on the #3; Luxton Real Estate, Bullseye, and David Crye.
