10/31/23… Bakersfield, California: Saturday Night, Kaleb Montgomery was back in action at Kern County Raceway Park with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars. It would be his final 410 race of the 2023 race season.
After being fast in hot laps, Kaleb looked to put down a good qualifying lap. Kaleb would go out & lay down a time of 12.308. He missed his lines during qualifying which hurt his time. Ultimately , that would put him 10th quickest overall.
Going out for the heat race, Kaleb just looked to finish up front & gain as many spots as possible. After running some solid laps in the heat, Kaleb ended up finishing 4th & setting himself up for the feature event where he’d line up 13th.
Lining up 13th in the feature, Kaleb had some work to do. They made some changes to the setup & definitely learned some things. Despite the track being hard to pass on, Kaleb was able to move forward. After starting 13th, Kaleb made his way up to 8th where he finish.
“I was fast in hotlaps and the car was great. Driver messed up on his lines in qualifying which put us in tenth. The car was much better than that. Got 4th in the heat and that put us starting 13th in the main,” Kaleb continued. “From there we picked off a couple cars and ended up 8th. I went a little over kill with the set up but we will remember that for a later date and keeping learning and moving forward.“
It was a solid night for Kaleb. He ended up having a good run in the feature & ending his 410 season on a high note. He now just has a few races left on his schedule & looks to end it on a strong note.
