12/12/22…Fast Time Media: 2022 was a year full of ups & downs for Kaleb Montgomery. The season would see him run in 5 different Sprint Cars this year across the state of California, where he would show a ton of speed & have very good success.
The season would start with Kaleb & his partnership with the F&F Racing no. X1 where they planned to run weekly Placerville shows & the entire SCCT schedule. Things started on a solid note as they would put together some solid runs. However, after a disappointing Peter Murphy Classic, that partnership would come to an end.
He would quickly hop back aboard his family owned no. 3k car where he would start to find his speed. Kaleb would impress in the 3k as he would look to get back into 2021 form. They would get in a rhythm as the season went on & would be fast all season.
Kaleb would get a great opportunity in July, as he would hop aboard the Dale Miller Motorsports no. 4sa at the Mark Forni Classic. He would take home a top-10 finish in that appearance. Just a few weeks later he would once again hop aboard the 4sa, as he would wheel it to his first win of the season in Placerville.
In late July, the Keller Motorsports team would give Kaleb a call to wheel the no. 2k at the Ocean Speedway. He would take home a top-10 in his newly formed partnership. Then just 2 months later, he would take home a big win at the Keller Auto Speedway aboard the Keller Motorsports no. 2k. They would round out the season in Tulare at the Trophy Cup where Kaleb would narrowly miss the feature.
“To recap 2022 I’d say it was a roller coaster.” Kaleb stated, “I road the highest of highs and the lowest of lows this year. I beat myself up and celebrated hard.” It was a season that tested Kaleb, but whenever there was a test, he would come out on top, as he would end the 2022 season with a pair of victories.
Kaleb is headed in the right direction for 2023 as he looks for a great season next year. “I’m taking the negatives and the positives with me this off season to build off of that and hopefully have more positives next season. I love this sport and wish to keep doing better each year and that starts with the off season!”
Kaleb’s 2022 stats: 42 features, 2 wins, 8 top-5’s, and 17 top-10’s.
