11/17/22…Antioch California: Saturday Night, Kaleb Montgomery would hop back aboard his own number 3k. A very solid field of 23 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would make the trip to Antioch on Saturday Night as they would try and win the Winged Sprint Car return to the track.
Kaleb would get his night started out in group qualifying as he would go out in the 2nd group. He would end up being the 2nd car out in his group and would lay down a very solid lap, putting him 2nd quickest in his group. “We did a couple hot laps and ended up on top of those in my group. Got 2nd quick in my group.”
That would line him up on the pole of his heat race as he would need to win it to make the dash. Starting on the pole, he would fall back to 2nd on a very juiced up track. Kaleb would fall in line & run around in the 2nd spot before finishing there. “Ran second in the heat.“
In the feature, Kaleb would start on the outside of row 4 in the 8th spot. Kaleb would get rolling in the feature as he would be fast. He would make some moves & take advantage of others misfortunes and find himself on the podium finishing 3rd when the checkered flag fell. “That made me start 6th in the main. Took advantage of a couple others misfortune and picked up a couple of spots to end up 3rd.“
Overall it was a very good night for Kaleb & the number 3 team in Antioch. It was his first 360 race in the 3 car in a while. However it seemed as though they never missed a beat as they were one of the fastest cars all night. “Antioch was a fun ice breaker for the 3 team.”
