By: Fast Time Media

9/21/23… Wheatland, Missouri: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday Night, Kyler Johnson would be in action with the ASCS National Sprint Cars. He started the week out on Tuesday at the Clay County Fair Speedway.

He would start the night out with time trials, where he would go out & go 7th quickest in his group. Kyler would then roll out for his heat race from the 8th spot, & once again go on to finish 8th. He would have to go to the B-main where he rolled off from 11th. Despite starting deep, Kyler charged forward to finish 4th & make the feature.

Kyler would start the feature from the 20th spot on the outside of row ten. Starting deep, Kyler was able to make his way forward in the feature. Going from 20th to 12th, Kyler would gain eight spots & finish the night on a good note.

The preliminary night of the Hockett McMillan Memorial got off to a solid start for Kyler. The driver of the #45x would start on the pole of his heat race. He held on for most of the heat race, but a late race incident while running 2nd would see him have to finish in the 8th spot. He went to the B-main where he started 12th & finished 8th.

They would take a provisional & tag the back of the feature. From there, Kyler would mount a solid charge forward. As he started 23rd, Kyler charged his way to the 15th spot where he finished & ended his preliminary night.

As the finale approached, it had to wait another day as rain won on Saturday & they’d have to postpone until Sunday. Sunday started out with a LCQ where he started & finished in 7th. That sent Kyler to the B-main where he went from 11th to 5th.

That wouldnt be enough to make the feature, but he would use another provisional & start in 24th. Another deep starting spot gave Kyler the opportunity to move forwards. He went from 24th to 15th & finished with another solid result.

It was a pretty solid weekend for Kyler as they face some very tough fields of cars. He put the car in the feature all three nights & was able to roll it into the trailer in one piece.

Kyler would like to thank his sponsors; Better Built Hay Trailers, Mann Cattle Company, Herl Farms Tony & Laura, T&T Chemical Inc., Pathway AG, Kaiser Angus, Hot Rods, Equity Bank, Double Diamond Farms, Smoky Hill AG, Swindell Speed Lab, Riedel Land & Cattle, Napoleon, Map INC Midwest AG Professionals, BLE Farms, Portable Kitchen, 5B Seed, and McDonalds.
