Kyler Johnson Has Tough Three Day Weekend in Kansas & Missouri!

By: Fast Time Media

6/1/23... Kansas City, Kansas: Friday Night, Kyler Johnson would kick off a long three days of racing with the ASCS National Sprint Cars. Friday would be a tough night as the engine would blow up while running 8th. Saturday & Sunday at Lake Ozark Speedway would see the engine issues continue for Kyler.

Friday Night, Kyler Johnson would be in action at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas. He got the night started with qualifying, hitting the track 8th in his groups Kyler would end up going 4th quick in the group. That lined him up on the pole of the heat race where he would finish 2nd.

He started the feature in the 11th spot & was rolling early on. Kyler would battle forward early on, getting to the 8th spot. Unfortunately, while running 8th Kyler would have engine issues that would bring the night to an early end in 17th.

Saturday, they would head to Missouri for Night one of two at Lake Ozark Speedway. They thought they had found the issue & it would show. In qualifying he would be the 7th car in his group to hit the track & ended up 2nd. He would line up third in the heat race & finish 5th, sending him to the B-main where he would start on tbe pole & win it.

That started Kyler 17th in the feature event. They had shown a ton of speed all night & would look for a good result. Unfortunately, their engine issues would continue & Kyler would finish 18th.

Sunday, Kyler would be back in action at Lake Ozark Speedway. Engine issues would once again plague their night. Kyler went out 8th in his qualifying group & ended up 9th quick. They would miss the heat race & roll off from deep in the B-main. Kyler would finish 7th but still make the feature.

Unfortunately, the bad luck would continue. Kyler would roll off from 23rd & the engine issues would continue to hinder their results. He would not complete the feature & would come home in the 24th position.

It was a very tough weekend for Kyler Johnson & his team. They would struggle all weekend issues that they unfortunately could not figure out. They'll be in action this weekend with another double header on tap.
