7/18/24… Watsonville, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Logan Mitchell was in action at Ocean Speedway. It was a big weekend with the WMR Midgets as they were in action for the Howard Kaeding Classic.
Friday Night started out with heat race action. He started the heat race from the outside of row two in the 4th spot. From 4th, he’d begin to move forward. Logan was able to grab the lead & go on to win the heat race.
That set up Logan to start the feature event from the pole position. From the pole, Logan fell to 2nd on the initial start. Unfortunately, he’d get into an incident later that lap & that would bring his night to an early end.
Saturday Night, Logan entered the heat race & would roll off from deep. He started on the outside of row three in 6th & quickly went to work. From 6th, he’d gain a handful of spots. Logan was able to get his way to the lead & would go on to win the heat race.
As they entered the feature for the Howard Kaeding Finale, Logan would roll off from 7th. He was able to go to work & begin moving forward. Logan found himself in 5th & was working through traffic when a lapped car slowed in front of him leaving nowhere to go. He’d get upside down & end his night.
The weekend didn’t go how Logan wanted it to. He had a fast car both nights & was definitely capable of winning. Unfortunately, things didn’t go his way both nights & he didn’t get the results he wanted.
