5/30/23... Marysville, California: Saturday Night, Luke Hayes would be back in action with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour at Marysville Raceway. He would have a very good night & would end up bringing home a 14th place finish.
The night started with qualifying, where Luke would be the 1st car in group two to hit the track. He would end up putting down a very good lap. That lap would put the driver of the 9L 3rd quickest overall in group number two.
Luke rolled off from the 2nd spot on the outside of the front row for his heat race. Starting 2nd, Luke would need to win the heat race to make the dash. He battled hard, and was able to get to the lead & go on to win the heat race & lock into the dash.
He started the dash in the 4th spot on the outside of the second row. Luke would hold his own against a very tough 8 car dash. He would end up finishing the dash where he started in the 4th spot.
Courtesy of his dash spot, Luke would roll off from the 4th spot. It would be a tough feature for the driver of the 9L. Luke would fall backwards from the 4th spot & out of the top-10. When the checkered came out, Luke would still manage to bring home a solid 14th place finish.
It was a great night for Luke Hayes & the 9L team. He would bring home his best Sprint Car Challenge Tour result of the season. Luke would also show a ton of speed all night against some tough competition.
