Luke Hayes Grabs 17th Place Finish in Chico!

By: Fast Time Media

6/19/23… Chico, California: Friday Night, Luke Hayes was in action at Silver Dollar Speedway for the rescheduled David Tarter Memorial. He would have a good night, but brake issues would cause him to salvage a 17th place finish.

Friday began with qualifying, where Luke was the 6th car to hit the track in group number three. He would lay down a time of 12.526. That time put Luke 4th quickest overall in group number three.

That lined Luke up in the 4th spot for the heat race. Luke would quickly move forward & get into the 3rd position. Once he got into third, Luke would hang on to the 3rd spot & finish there.

In the feature event, Luke rolled off from 11th. Early in the feature, he would battle to try & get into the top-10. Unfortunately, Luke would lose brakes during the feature event. He would hang on to a 17th place finish with no brakes.

Luke had some good speed on Friday Night. He continues to get better when he hits the track. Once his luck turns around a little more, Luke will continue to improve his results.

Luke would like to thank his sponsors; Hayes Farms, Finley Farms, Inter State Oil, and Farm Logistics.

Next Race: TBA
