5/4/23... Placerville California: Saturday Night, Luke Hayes would be back in action at Placerville Speedway for another weekly points night. Another solid field of 17 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in the pit area ready to roll on Saturday.
The night started with single car qualifying, as Luke would be the 14th of 17 cars to hit the track. Going out late, Luke would not lay down the lap he wanted. When it was all said & done, he would end up being 13th quickest overall.
He would then roll off from the 5th spot in the heat race. Starting 5th, Luke would find it tough to pass. He would keep up with the cars in front of him but not be able to move forward. He would end up finishing the heat race in 5th.
Luke would roll off from 13th for the feature event. Starting 13th, Luke would not have the speed that he wanted. He would end up having a lot of clay packed by the radiator, hurting the speed in the feature. When the checkered flag fell, he would finish 16th.
It would be a rough weekend for Luke in Placerville. However, he is looking to turn it around this coming weekend, as he will be once again back in action at Placerville Speedway!
