12/19/23... Red Bluff, California: On Saturday, Luke Hayes was in action with the Red Bluff Outlaws for the first time this Winter Season. His return to action didn't go smoothly however, as he'd end his night early in the D-main.
Luke began the night with time trials where he'd be the 27th car to hit the track. He'd end up laying down a time of 9.102 & finish 40th quick. His heat race would see him roll off from the outside of row four in the 8th spot. Luke would end up gaining a spot & finishing 7th.
Despite gaining a spot in the heat race, Luke would still have to go to the D-main. He'd roll off from the outside of row six in the 12th spot & need to make the top-6 to make the feature. He'd gain a handful of spots, as he moved up to 7th but came up one spot short of a transfer spot to the C-main.
It was not the return he wanted, but Luke still moved forward every time he hit the track. Unfortunately, a tough qualifying time just put him behind the 8-ball & Luke wasn't able to recover.
