Luke Hayes Takes First Laps at Tulare Thunderbowl!

By: Fast Time Media

10/19/23… Hanford, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Luke Hayes would head down to the Central Valley to take on a double header weekend with the 360 under the hood. He would end up making his first laps in Tulare on Saturday Night.

Friday Night would begin with qualifying, where Luke was the 5th car in his group to hit the track. He would end up timing in 5th quickest in the group. Luke went out for his heat race & rolled off from 2nd. He would fall back to 3rd where he finished the heat race.

That lined Luke up to start the feature event from the 5th spot. After starting 5th, Luke would slowly fall backwards. He didn’t fall far as he’d end up falling back to 8th. Luke would then to hold onto 8th & finish the feature there.

Saturday Night in Tulare, Luke would take his first ever laps at the track. He kicked the night off with time trials, where he’d end up timing in 4th quickest in his group. Then, Luke would roll off from 3rd in the heat race & would go on to finish 4th.

His first ever feature in Tulare would see him roll off from 16th. The track was pretty juiced up still & hard to pass. Luke ended up falling back to the 18th spot. He’d hold on to the spot & would finish the feature there.

“First Night in Tulare was decent. Surprisingly I felt pretty comfortable, we need to work on the feature we weren’t that good but qualifying & heat race were good.”

It was a solid first night in Tulare for Luke. Despite most likely not running Trophy Cup, it was valuable laps & experience that Luke gained this weekend.

Luke would like to thank his sponsors; Hayes Farms, Finley Farms, Inter State Oil, and Farm Logistics.
