9/14/23… Bakersfield, California: Saturday Night, Logan Mitchell & the WMR Midgets would make the first ever trip in series history to Bakersfield Speedway. 13 drivers would be in the pit area, looking to make history as the first ever WMR Midget winner at Bakersfield Speedway.
Logan started the night out with heat race action. He would draw a front row outside starting position as he rolled off from 2nd. Starting 2nd, Logan would be able to hold the position. The driver of the #96x would go on to finish where he started the heat race in the 2nd spot.
He would then start the feature event from the front row outside in the 2nd spot. As he started in the 2nd spot, the track would quickly take rubber. It would be a tough tack to pass on as Logan would fall to 4th. He would end up finishing in the 4th spot & ending his night there.
Overall, it was a solid first visit to the Bakersfield Speedway. Despite limited laps at the track, Logan showed a ton of speed. He now finds himself in a close battle for the WMR Midgets points standings with just two races to go.
