Nick Parker 21st at Fall Nationals!

By: Fast Time MeDia

10/10/23… Chico, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Nick Parker was back in action. They’d make the short trip to Silver Dollar Speedway to run the 2023 Fall Nationals. Around 60 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in the pit area on both nights.

He started Friday out with time trials, where he’d be the 13th car out in group three. Nick was able to put down a time of 11.951. That lined him up in the 5th spot for his heat race. On the initial start, Nick would spin in turn one. He’d tag the back of the field & charge from 12th to 8th & go to the B-main.

The B-main would see only four cars transfer & Nick rolled off from 9th. He had to get moving & would be able to move forwards. Unfortunately, he’d come up short of a transfer. Nick would go from 9th to 6th, but come up two spots short of a transfer to the feature.

Going into Saturday, Nick looked to have a better Night & try to make the feature. The night once again started out with qualifying. He would be able to put down another solid lap. This time, he would time in 6th quickest in his group.

As they went into the feature, Nick started 6th. He would need to move forward one more spot to make the feature. After starting 6th, Nick would finish where he started in 6th & go to the B-main. The B-main saw Nick slated to start 3rd. However, the leader jumped the initial start & was penalized a row. That put Nick as the pole sitter for the B-main. He ended up pulling out to the lead & going on to win the B-main.

Nick started the feature from the 21st starting spot. Early on he was slowly making his way forward. Around lap 11, he’d spin in turns 1&2. Nick went to the pit area but was able to make it back out. Unfortunately, a few laps after the restart Nick would pull into the infield & end his night.

It was a pretty good weekend for Nick & his team. They faced a tough field of cars in Chico, but were able to show that they had good speed & could compete against a strong field.

Nick would like to thank his sponsors; Parker Automotive, Rock Knocker, Metal Tec, BG Oil & Lube, Maxim Chassis, Tiner Hirst Enterprises, and Kaeding Performance.
