9/19/23…. Hanford, California: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Night, Nick Parker was in action at Kings Speedway in Hanford & Placerville Speedway in Placerville. Thursday he would have the 360 under the hood, before switching to the 410 & battling the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.
He started the weekend out by timing in 10th quickest on Thursday. That lined him up in 2nd where he would go on to finish 3rd. In the feature, Nick would roll off from 9th. He spent most of the race battling in the top-10. However, on lap 13, Nick would get in an incident & that brought his night to an end.
Friday, they put the 410 under the hood so Nick could battle the Outlaws. He began the night by timing in 31st quickest out of 36 cars. That lined Nick up in 8th for his heat race. He would go on to gain one spot & finish 7th. Nick would go into the Last Chance Showdown where he started 7th. Only four transferred, but Nick would fall back & finish 8th, ending his night early.
Going into Saturday, they’d make the trip to Placerville for their final run of 2023 with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. With 38 cars, they would split qualifying into two groups. Nick would not get a good lap in & times in 17th quick his his group.
That put him starting 9th in his heat race. It was a tough heat race & it would be tough to pass. After starting 9th, Nick would go onto finish 9th. Once again, he would have to go to the Last Chance Showdown. He would start 13th & finish 14th, bringing his weekend to an end.
It was a tough way to end his run with the Outlaws in 2023. Despite missing the feature both Friday & Saturday, Nick would get some valuable experience with the best in the world & continues to improve!
