4/18/24… Press Release: Coming into the 2024 race season, Nick Parker & his team looked to continue to progress the racing program forward. Entering what’s now the third season of racing in California for Nick, he felt confident as ever & the results are quickly showing.
“This team is on its 3rd year now in California & we feel we have a good package all around to be successful this year.”
Nick kicked off the season with a last second trip to Marysville Raceway. After the NARC opener in Hanford rained out, they made the switch to put the 360 in & decided to debut the new design & number in Marysville. They quickly found speed & Nick was able to bring home a 3rd place finish to start the season.
The 410 season kicked off the following weekend at Silver Dollar Speedway for the Mini Gold Cup. Night one started out with a 19th place DNF on Friday Night. Then the NARC season kicked off on Saturday & Nick was able to bring home a top-10 finish as he survived a long, grueling feature to finish 8th.
After two weekend’s in a row of rainout’s, Nick was back in action on April 6th at the newly re-configured Stockton Dirt Track. It was another good night for Nick in Stockton & he was able to charge from 15th to 5th & grab his career best NARC finish.
More rainout’s last weekend lead to Ocean Speedway being the only track to get some racing action in. They put the 360 back in & made the trip to Watsonville. Nick was fast all night long, qualifying in well, moving forward in his heat race, & finishing the night with another top-5 finish.
“The year had started off on a positive note with three top fives & four top tens,” Nick added. “We made a few adjustments to the car & my driving tendencies & we have been more consistent so far.”
It’s been an impressive start to the racing season for Nick. With three top-5’s & four Top-10’s in five races, he will look to build off the momentum he’s had so far this season with Merced up next for his first SCCT race of the 2024 season.
