7/28/23… Cottage Grove, Oregon: Tuesday & Wednesday Night, Nick Parker was back in action with the 360 under the hood. This time, making another trip to the Pacific Northwest for the 2023 Western Sprint Tour.
He kicked the night off with time trials where he was the 17th car out of 22 to hit the track at Cottage Grove Speedway. Going on late, Nick still managed to lay down a solid time. That put the driver of the Parker Automotive/Rock Knocker/Metal Tec/BG Oil & Lube/Maxim Chassis/Tiner Hirst Enterprises/ Kaeding Performance #115 8th quickest overall.
Nick would roll out for heat race number two from the 4th starting position on the outside second row. Starting 4th, Nick wasn’t able to put together a solid heat race. He would fall backwards, losing two spots & finishing in 6th.
That lined him up on the inside of the eight row in 15th for the feature event. Nick was able to keep the #115 out of trouble during the feature. After starting 15th, Nick moved forward one spot & finished the feature event in 14th.
Going into Wednesday, Nick looked to build off a solid performance from Tuesday. Unfortunately, his night would come an early end. Nick would go out for qualifying, but would lose his engine during his first lap & ending his night.
Unfortunately, that would be the only 360 engine that Nick & his team have at the moment. They will be out of action until late next month when the NARC 410 Sprint Cars return to action at the Stockton Dirt Track!
