Nick Parker Takes on FFDM & Dirt Cup in Pacific Northwest!

By: Fast Time Media

6/27/24… White City, Oregon: Over the past two weeks, Nick Parker would race 8 races in the span of 10 days. They’d go up the West Coast, taking on the FFDM & Dirt Cup where Nick battled the best that the West Coast has to offer.

It all started with night one of the Fastest Five Days in Motorsports. They made the trip to Oregon where they’d be in action at Southern Oregon Speedway. The night would end early & Nick would finish in the 18th position.

The following night would see Nick’s best result of the West Coast swing. They’d be in action at the Douglas County Dirt Track. Nick would have a solid night & ended up finishing the feature even in the 15th position.

After his 15th place finish, Nick racked up a pair of solid finishes. Both Cottage Grove Speedway & Willamette Speedway produced solid nights for Nick as he’d end up finishing both nights in the 16th position.

The finale of the Fastest Five Days in Motorsports was where Nick had the most speed of the week. He had a good run going in the feature event before having some Brake issues which brought his night to an early end.

“Fastest 5 days was a grind & we could never find speed until the last day in Elma, but had brake issues.”

Going into Dirt Cup, the field would be strong, with nearly 50 410 Sprint Cars in attendance. Nick started the weekend off with a good run on Thursday. He was able to lock into the feature & went from 20th to 16th in the feature event.

Friday Night, Nick continued to find speed at Skagit. He qualified in the top half of the field & found himself battling for a transfer in the B-main. Unfortunately, he’d get in an incident & come up short of the transfer as he’d finish 12th.

The final night, there wouldn’t be qualifying & Nick would start & finish his heat race in 6th. He’d have to go to the B-main but rolled off in 6th. In the B-main, Nick had a bleeder issue which ultimately ended his Dirt Cup as he finished 9th.

“Dirt cup we had a lot of speed but couldn't find that 1 tenth in qualifying to make alot of points. First night made the Main & Second Night battled for last transfer in b-main & got taken out. Night Three made some driver errors which put us back in the b-mainF but ultimately a stuck bleeder would end our dirt cup.”

It was a long but solid two weeks of racing for Nick in the Pacific Northwest. He had some good nights & found some good speed, with his best nights coming towards the end up the two weeks of racing.

“Looking forward to Chico Friday & Saturday with alot of knowledge gained with the car & as well as race craft.”

Nick would like to thank his sponsors: Parker Automotive, Metal Tec, BG, TDR Concepts, K-UTV Rock Knocker, Tiner Hirst Enterprise, & Kaeding Performance, Inc.
