Nick Robfogel Captures 3rd Place Finish in Petaluma!

By: Fast Time Media

5/18/23... Petaluma, California: Saturday Night, Nick Robfogel would be in action in Petaluma for another night of local action. With a solid field of 12 Wingless Sprint Cars, Nick would be able to capture the final step of the podium on Saturday.

The night got rolling with qualifying, as Nick would be the 10th of 12 cars to hit the track. Despite going out late in qualifying, Nick would lay down a super quick lap. That would end up putting the driver of the number 3 machine 2nd quickest overall.

Nick would then roll off for the heat race in the 4th spot on the outside of row two. The car would once again be on rails, as Nick would charge forward. Despite starting 4th, Nick would assume the lead & go on to capture the heat race win.

He would be scheduled to start the feature 3rd, but would have to pull off before the race went green to fix some issues. Nick would make it out for the start of the feature but had to roll off from the back of the twelve car field.

That would make the night interesting as Nick would have to charge forward. He would do just that, slicing & dicing his way to the front. Nick would end up getting into the 3rd spot & go on to claim the final spot on the podium.

"Then came the main event, I should have started 3rd but my car had other plans for me. Had some troubles causing me to pull off the track twice before we took the green," Nick continued. "I then had to start in the back making my night fun once again. I managed to make my way to 3rd, getting us a podium finish."

It was another good but unlucky night for Nick Robfogel & his team. He would have a race winning car but would battle some issues before the feature. They'll be in action at Placerville Speedway, looking to take home the Joe Hunt Series win on Saturday Night.

Next Race: 5/20, Placerville Speedway

Nick would like to thank his sponsors; RCS, Empire Automotive, Tony Maestri w/state farm, and Apex contractors.
