Ryan Rocha 10th at Kings Speedway!

By: Fast Time Media

10/18/23… Hanford, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Ryan Rocha was back in action for a Central Valley double header. He’d run the Cotton Classic at Kings Speedway on Friday, the head to the Tulare Thunderbowl for the Trophy Cup Tune-up on Saturday Night.

Ryan started Friday out with time trials, where he’d roll off as the 11th car out. He’d end up timing the #5R in 9th quickest with a time of 14.551. Ryan would be slated to line up 5th in his heat race, but didn’t make it out & would miss it.

That set Ryan up to start the feature event from the 14th spot. Starting 14th, the track would still have some juice in it during the feature. It would be hard to pass, but Ryan made his way up to the 10th spot where he’d finish the Friday Night feature.

Going into Saturday, he’d look to have a better night & get some solid laps at the Tulare Thunderbowl. Saturday Night in Tulare would begin with group qualifying. He’d go out in group one & ended up tuning in 7th quickest in the group.

He’d go out for the heat race where theyd start in the 7th spot. It would once again be another juiced up train for heat race action. After starting in 7th, Ryan was not able to move forward & finished where he started the heat race in 7th.

“We didn’t qualify good, and you have to qualify well to have good positioning for the night. That put us in the back of our heat race on a dyno, pretty rough. That put us in the B-main.”

As they went out for the B-main, Ryan would roll off from the 9th spot. With six cars transferring to the feature, Ryan had a decent shot to make it into a transfer spot. He would end up making his way up to 7th, but came up just one spot short of a transfer to the feature.

“In tbe B-main, we got up to 7th but came up one spot short of a transfer & couldn’t get it done.”

Despite the results it was a good weekend for Ryan & their team. He got a top-10 on Friday & go some very valuable laps in Tulare before this coming weekend’s Trophy Cup.

Ryan’s 2022 stats: 23 Events, 18 features, 0 wins, 0 top-5’s, 4 top-10’s.
