7/27/23… Burlington, Washington: Friday & Saturday Night, Ryan Rocha was in action at Skagit Speedway as they prepared for this coming weekend’s Summer Nationals. Friday, he would have his night come to an early end when his Ignition Box went out. Then Saturday, he would finish 13th with the 410’s with a 360 under the hood!
Friday began with time trials for Ryan. He would be the 17th car out for time trials & would time in 17th quickest overall. That started him 5th in his heat race, where he would come home 6th. He would start the B-main on the pole, but wouldn’t finish the B-main as his ignition box went out.
Saturday, he battled the 410’s with a 360 under the hood. The night started with qualifying, where Ryan timed the 5R in 17th quickest out of 22 cars. That lined him up on the outside of row three in the heat race in 6th. He would end up finishing where he started & come home 6th.
That put Ryan starting on the outside of row eight ij the 16th spot for the feature. Despite being at a disadvantage with the 360 under the hood, Ryan would move forward. The 16 year old gained three spots & finished the feature in 13th.
Ryan’s weekend didn’t get off to the start that he wanted, but they would rebound on Saturday. He had some solid speed both nights & grabbed a 13th place finish against the 410’s.
Ryan’s 2022 stats: 16 events, 12 features, 0 wins, 0 top-5’s, 1 top-10’s.
