5/18/23... Hanford, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Ryan Rocha would be in action with the Kings of Thunder 360 Sprint Cars & the Sprint Car Challenge Tour at the Peter Murphy Classic. Friday would see Ryan come home with a 19th place finish with the KoT 360's. Saturday would then see Ryan finish 14th with the SCCT 360's.
Friday got rolling with qualifying, as Ryan would be the 24th of 25 cars to hit the track. Despite rolling out so late, he would still end up 17th quick. That lined him up 6th in the heat race where he would end up finishing.
That put Ryan starting 16th in the feature. He would not have the race they were looking for, as he would spin early. Ryan would then battle back to take home a 19th place finish to end night one of the Peter Murphy Classic.
Saturday would see Ryan go out 1st in group two for qualifying. He would end up going 3rd quick overall. That lined him up in 2nd for the heat race, where he would jump to the lead on lap one. However, a Caution would come out & he would finish the heat race in 3rd.
He would start the feature event from the 12th spot. Ryan would have a good feature, as he tried to battle his way into the top-10. He would battle against some of the best 360 drivers in California & when the checkered flag fell, Ryan finished the feature in 14th.
It was a good weekend for Ryan Rocha & his team. Friday didn't go how they wanted, but Saturday Ryan would show that he can hang with the best. Ryan will look to carry that speed into this Saturday's Chris & Brian Faria Memorial in Tulare.
