5/4/23... Tulare California: Saturday Night, Ryan Rocha & his team would be back in action at The Tulare Thunderbowl for a Kings of Thunder 360 Sprint Car show. A solid field of 17 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in action on Saturday Night.
The night would get going with qualifying. Ryan would be the 14th of 17 cars to hit the track. He ended up putting down a solid lap. That would end up putting Ryan 10th quickest overall.
In the heat race, Ryan rolled off from the inside of row three in 5th. Starting 5th, Ryan would have some good speed in the heat race. He ended up gaining one spot & finishing the heat race in the 4th position.
For the feature event, Ryan would start on the outside of row four in 8th. Early on, Ryan would quickly make moves. He would end up getting up to 4th, but banging the right rear on the wall. When a caution came out he thought his right rear was down.
He would go into the work area but the right rear would be good. Ryan would return to the track but would have to start in the back. Ryan would make his way forward & end up finishing the feature event in the 12th spot.
"Started 8th in main and was able to move up to 4th in the first lap. After a yellow the car was tight going into one and I slammed my right rear into the wall, lost some spots, but was able to keep going. Unfortunately I thought my right rear was going down so I had to pull into pit area. Scotty found that it wasn’t going down so I was able to make it back on the track where I had to start from the back & Finished 12th."
It was looking to be a good night for Ryan if not for some bad luck. He will look to carry that speed he found Saturday, into Placerville this coming Saturday!
