5/2/23... Placerville California: Saturday Night, Seth Standley would be back in action at Placerville Speedway for the 5th race of the 2023 race season. A small but solid field of 17 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in the pit area ready to roll on Saturday Night.
Seth would end up being one of the last cars out for qualifying. Going out late, Seth would still manage to put down a solid time. When it was all said & done, he would end up 11th quickest out of the 17 cars that were in attendance.
"The night started off with pulling a 68 pill. That put me 2nd to last car out for qualifying, where I would go 11th out of the 17 car field."
He would end up rolling off on the front row in the 1st spot in the heat race. Unfortunately, he would get called for a jumped start, and that would put him starting 3rd. Seth would end up battling around 3rd & 4th & finishing in the 4th spot.
"In the heat race, I started inside pole and jumped the start. That put me 2nd row inside where I would run 4th for the entirety of the race."
That would line Seth up on the inside of row six in the 11th spot for the feature event. Starting 11th, he would put down some solid laps, but it would be very tough to pass. He would end up finishing the feature where he started in 11th.
"Then in the feature, I started 6th row inside and put down some solid laps but couldn’t move forward," Seth added. "I ended up 11th in the feature, out of the 16 cars that finished."
It was another solid night for Seth & his team. He would have really good speed & he continues to get better every time he hits the track.
