5/22/24… Watsonville, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Seth Standley was back in action for a 360 double header weekend. It started with Ocean Speedway on Friday Night & ended with the Tulare Thunderbowl on Saturday Night.
Friday started out with qualifying, with Seth being the 9th of 13 cars to hit the track. Seth laid down a time of 12.150 which was enough to time in 7th quick. That lined him up in the 3rd spot for his heat race where he’d go on to finish 4th.
Heading into the feature, Seth was slated to start 7th. Starting 7th, Seth battled around the 7th spot for most of the feature. He would end up holding onto the 7th position & would go on to finish the feature there.
Saturday Night, Seth battled tougher competition at the Tulare Thunderbowl. The night got off to a better start with time trials where he was the 18th of 21 cars to hit the track. Going out late, Seth was still able to lay down a good lap. He put down a time of 14.267 which timed him in 5th quick.
Going into heat race action, Seth rolled off from the pole position. Starting on the pole, Seth didn’t have the heat race that he wanted. He ended up falling back a handful of spots to the 6th spot & finishing there.
Despite a tough heat race, Seth still started the feature event in the 7th spot. The green fell & Seth went to work. He was able to battle for a top-5 spot. When it was all said & done, he ended up finishing the feature & the weekend in 6th.
It was a good weekend for Seth battling some tough competition at Ocean Speedway & the Tulare Thunderbowl. A 7th place finish on Friday & a 6th place finish on Saturday capped off a solid weekend for Seth.
