Seth Standley Has Tough Night at Mark Forni Classic!

By: Fast Time Media

8/2/23… Placerville, California: Saturday Night, Seth Standley was in action at Placerville Speedway for the Mark Forni Classic. It was a tough night for Seth, as he was never able to really get into a rhythm. His night came to an early end in the B-main.

Seth started his night out with qualifying. He would be the 18th of 29 Winged 360 Sprint Cars to qualify. Going out towards the back end of qualifying, Seth wouldn’t lay down the lap he wanted. He would end up 25th quickest overall.

That set him up to start his heat race from the 7th position. He would miss a wreck in turn one & keep going. Once they went back green, he fell in line in the 5th spot. He tried to battle to a transfer spot but came up short & finished the heat race in 5th.

“The Mark Forni Classic at Placerville started off really rough by qualifying 25th. Then in the heat race, I started in the back because of my terrible qualifying effort and missed a wreck in the first corner and ended up going from 7th to 5th which put me in the B main.”

After his heat race, Seth was slated to start the B-main from the 9th position. Once the green flag fell, Seth tried to move his way into a transfer spot. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to get into a rhythm & ended up finishing the B-main in 11th, ending his night.

“I started in the back again in the B main, and just really struggled to go forward so we ended our night early.”

It was a rough night for Seth & his team in Placerville. They’ll learn from Saturday, and take what they can from it before putting it behind them & moving on. Seth will be looking to rebound from a tough night on Saturday.

Seth would like to thank his sponsors; SALCO Better Energy, Swimming Pool Perfections, and Yuba City Scrap and Steel.
