7/11/24… Placerville, California: Thursday Night, Seth Standley was back in action at Placerville Speedway. It was a good night of racing, with a solid field of cars in competition for their 4th of July race on Thursday Night.
Seth started the night out with time trials, as he was the very first car to hit the track. Going out early, Seth didn’t get the lap that he wanted. With a time of 11.614, Seth was able to time in 19th quickest out of 28 cars overall.
Heat race actio saw Seth roll off from the inside of row three in the 5th spot. Starting in 5th, Seth needed to hold on to make a transfer spot. Despite trying to grab a transfer spot, he’d fall back to 6th & come up one spot short of the transfer.
That put Seth into the B-main where he’d roll off from the outside of row four in the 8th spot. Seth had some work to do to get into a transfer spot. He was able to make his way forward & gain a trio of spots, but ultimately came up short as he’d finish 5th one spot out of a transfer.
It wasn’t the result to the night that Seth wanted in Placerville. Despite missing the feature, Seth will regroup this week as he takes on the Western Sprint Speed-week which kicks off on Monday in Oregon.
