6/22/23… Chico, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Seth Standley would be in action at Silver Dollar Speedway & Marysville Raceway. He started the weekend with a 23rd place finish in Chico. Then on Saturday, they made the last second decision for Seth to run his brothers car where he would finish 5th.
Friday began with qualifying, where Seth was the 3rd car out in group number one. He ended up laying down a time of 12.374. That ended up being a pretty good lap & it put Seth 4th quickest in the group. In the heat race, Seth rolled off from 4th & ended up finishing 5th.
That rolled Seth off from the 18th spot for the feature event. During the feature, Seth would get involved in an incident. Unfortunately, that brought his night in Chico to an early end.
Saturday, Seth made the last second decision to run his brothers car. Aboard the 54S, Seth got the night off to a good start. He went out for qualifying & ended up 6th quickest overall. He would then go on to take the heat race win & put himself in a good spot for the feature.
For the feature, Seth would be on track to have his best finish of the year. Aboard his brothers car, he would put together a good race. When the checkered flag fell, Seth finished in the 5th spot & brought home his first top-5 of the season.
