Shawn Arriaga Captures Hunt Wingless Tour Season Opener!

4/18/23... Antioch California: Saturday Night, the Hunt Wingless Tour season would come to life at Antioch Speedway. An impressive field of 35 cars would sign into the Antioch Speedway pit area, ready to kick off the 2023 race season.


The night would get started with qualifying. Shawn Arriaga would end up taking home the Dependable Crane Fast Time Award. The driver of the #32 would be the 19th car to hit the track, but was still able to lay down Fast Time.


Benic Enterprises Heat Race #1 would end up going to Jacob Tuttle. The driver of the #3T machine would roll off from the inside of row two & would grab the lead, going on to take the win.


A.R.T Enterprises Speed Equipment Heat Race #2 would end up going to Brent Steck. The driver of the #2STX would roll off from the pole. Brent would take the checkered flag, and go on to win his heat race.


Kings Racing Products Heat Race #3 would end up going to D.J Johnson. The driver of the #33DJ would roll off from the outside of row two in the 4th spot. When the green flag dropped, D.J would get rolling. He would charge his way to the lead & take the win.


Santomauro Racing Products Heat Race #4 would end up going to Bradley Terrell. The driver of the #11 would start on the outside of row two in the 4th position. Starting 4th, Bradley would be on the move in the heat race. He would drive forward, eventually taking the lead & winning the heat race.


The B-main event would see some amazing racing. Eathon Lanfri would start on the pole & go on to dominate the B-main. Jarrett Soares would start in 5th & battle his way into the 2nd spot. Anthony Snow would start 2nd & maintain a transfer spot, finishing 3rd. Evan Gularte would charge forward from his 19th scheduled starting position, to be the 4th & final transfer.


The 25 lap feature event would see some exciting racing to kick off the season. Shawn Arriaga would start on the outside of row two & eventually gain the lead, going on to capture the win. Brent Steck would lineup in the 8th starting position & charge forward to 2nd. Nick Robfogel would charge from 11th to 3rd & round out the podium.

BR Motorsports 15th place in the A Main awarded to #92Z Trevor Schmid


Best Presenting Feature Car awarded by Arbogast Technologies Inc. - #2 Shannon Newton
