Wyatt Van Lare Struggles at Fall Nationals!

By: Chris Santos

10/5/22…Chico California: Friday night Wyatt Van Lare, and his team would make the trip to Chico California for the biggest race of the season the 2022 Fall Nationals. The competition was top notch as 67 winged 360 sprint cars would be in the Silver Dollar Speedway pit area on Friday night.

Wyatt would head out in the fourth and final group as he was one of the final cars to head out for qualifying. He would struggle during qualifying and end up 15th quick out of the 16 winged 360 sprint cars in group number four.

That would put him in the non-qualifier as positions 11 through 16 in the groups would head to the non-qualifiers. After starting fifth in the non-qualifier, Wyatt would bring home a sixth Place finished which would put him into the D-main main event.

He would start seventh in the D-main needing to finish top four to transfer to the C-main. The struggles would continue as he would end up going back two spots and finishing in the ninth position ending his night very early.

Saturday night Wyatt and his team would return to Silver Dollar Speedway looking for an improvement from the Friday night race. Another amazing field of winged 360 sprint cars would be in the pit area as 66 cars would be in attendance.

His qualifying efforts would stay the same from Friday to Saturday as he would go out in the fourth and final group. Once again, Wyatt would end up 15th quick out of the 16 drivers that were in group number four on Saturday night.

That would put him in the seventh starting position for the second non-qualifier. Starting seventh Wyatt would fall back to the ninth position and stay there finishing ninth in the second of two non-qualifiers and putting them into the D-main.

Wyatt would start in the 13th position for the 15 car race. He would have a lot of work cut out for him as he needed to finish top four to transfer. unfortunately he could not do so as he would only move up one spot and finish 12th ending his night and his weekend.

Wyatt would like to thank his sponsors; Nope Kelly family, Mike papola custom cabinetry, VSR vanlare steering repair, CCI electrical, Schultz design, Fire protection management, RTR Rod Tiner Racing, Apiaries/David simms, Bianchi farms, and American Welding.
